The series consists of four classes of approximately five minutes each, progressing through awakening digestion, cleansing the intestines and revitalising the abdomen.
The “My Five Minutes for Detox” series supports:
– improved function of the internal organs
– increased circulation in the abdomen
– faster digestion
– the body’s natural detoxification processes
It is suitable as an additional set of exercises during a nutritional detox or diet. The exercises are short and can be practised in the morning or before a meal. If your intestinal peristalsis is slower, add these exercises to your daily routine. You can follow the four-video cycle on four consecutive days and then repeat it.
The exercises in this series use deep, full breathing, with a strong emphasis on using breath to make movement more effective. In general, we exhale while contracting and activating and inhale while opening and expanding the abdomen. You do not need a mat because the exercises are practised standing.
The series is not suitable during pregnancy or menstruation, for people preparing for or recently recovering from abdominal surgery, or in cases of abdominal pain and similar conditions. The classes increase the heart rate, shorten the breath and activate the sympathetic nervous system. Rest well and breathe calmly after the exercises. You practise at your own responsibility.

1. Trial class
– DETOX VORTEX
In the first class, we become aware of and awaken the pathway of the large intestine and the direction in which matter moves through it. We begin by moving the palms across a relaxed abdomen, encouraging this direction through a gentle massage. We then practise exercises that amplify the pathway of the large intestine through rotations around the waist. We increase the challenge by lowering into a squat while continuing to circle and adding straight arms as leverage. We thoroughly mobilise the circle around the waist and awaken the large intestine’s pathway. At the end, we become still and breathe calmly. In five minutes, we move the body, mobilise the waist and abdomen, and specifically support the direction of movement through the large intestine.

2. SQUEEZING
In the second class, we shorten and lengthen the abdomen to massage and stimulate mobility in the abdomen and spine. We first warm up with standing Cat-Cow and then deepen the same action through Spinal Breath. Once warm, we use a faster rhythm in the same shortening and lengthening movements, squeezing the abdomen a little more intensely. We add a full, sudden exhalation through the mouth as the abdomen contracts. We complete the exercises by lengthening and shortening from a Warrior I base, adding strength and raising the body’s temperature.

3. TWISTING
In the third class, we practise twisting and rotating around the waist. We begin standing, drawing the opposite elbow towards the opposite knee while balancing on one leg. Standing is closest to everyday movement, so we motivate the organs to move in a slightly different relationship with gravity. Once we understand the movement, we continue the exercise at a faster rhythm. We then transfer a similar action to a position with one foot beneath the knee and the other knee on the floor, or slightly lifted, and repeat the twists. At the end, rotations from a low squat stimulate the lower abdomen and the entrance and exit of the large intestine. Begin, enjoy and twist comfortably.

4. VITALITY
In the fourth short class, we treat ourselves gently and breathe deeply. We settle into several easy poses that lengthen the body in ways that open the segments of the large intestine. Through this approach, we enter our digestive pathway with attention, calm breath and openness, the principal qualities of therapeutic work. We first open the lower right abdomen, place a palm there and breathe calmly. We then raise the right arm and ribs and breathe into the upper right corner, move to the upper left and finally descend to the lower left segment, the exit of the large intestine. We breathe from deep within, as though the body were breathing from the area beneath the palm. Through breath, we enter ourselves and bring peace, health and renewal. After these exercises, we imprint calm deeply within and revitalise healthy new flow through the intestines.
