Pines, shrubs, citrus trees, grasses, wild herbs, kale, and chard all carry that healthy green at this time of year. Yet a few plants still move into the mature turn of their cycle and reveal it in copper. Small heart-shaped copper leaves hang like jewellery through the groves. Dried needles and fallen branches become textures of a pine tree\u2019s passing lifespan. Copper fern leaves ornament the clearings with a note of wisdom.
